Fendi – Tokyo Café Takeover

Fendi transformed Tokyo’s Anniversaire Café with its iconic yellow for a holiday pop-up blending Roman cuisine, fashion and culture.

In November 2021, Fendi brought a taste of Rome to Tokyo with a temporary branded café inside the popular Anniversaire Café. To celebrate their Roma 2020 Holiday Collection, the Italian fashion house reimagined the space with its iconic Fendi yellow, creating a striking yet welcoming takeover.

Alongside the café’s existing menu, visitors were treated to traditional Roman dishes, blending food, fashion and culture into a seamless brand experience. The bold use of colour and playful detailing ensured the takeover felt both sophisticated and approachable, hallmarks of the Fendi brand.

Though temporary, the pop-up highlighted the growing value of lifestyle collaborations in luxury retail. By stepping beyond the product and creating a space where people could experience the brand, Fendi deepened its cultural resonance with customers and reinforced its identity as more than a fashion house.

We see projects like this as powerful examples of how immersive design can extend brand storytelling into everyday life – making the brand tangible, memorable and shareable.
