Rude Health
A Café with Wellbeing at its Core
Rude Health opened their first store in Putney with a simple idea: to create a space that went beyond food and drink. They wanted a café that reflected their ethos of health and vitality, while offering flexibility for yoga, movement and community events.
The Challenge
The design needed to embody Rude Health’s energetic, optimistic personality while supporting a mix of uses. The space had to shift seamlessly from a busy daytime café into an evening studio or event venue – all without losing its warmth or identity.
Our Response
Working with Now London (now IDL Group), we developed a Californian-inspired interior that felt fresh, open and uplifting. Natural materials and bold colour accents gave the café a distinctive vibrancy. Every element – from layout to furniture – was considered for adaptability, allowing the space to transform easily as activities changed throughout the day.
The Outcome
The result is a welcoming, multi-purpose hub that feels unmistakably Rude Health. More than a café, it’s a place to connect, recharge and experience the brand’s spirit of wellbeing – a physical expression of living in rude health.
