Strathberry Atelier
An Atelier to Showcase
Craft and Creation
At their Edinburgh townhouse headquarters, Strathberry wanted a space that did more than display products. They asked us to create an atelier that would highlight the artistry behind their handbags, celebrate their heritage and provide a functional workshop for their team.
The Challenge
The arrival lounge needed to work on two levels – as a welcoming space for visitors and as a practical environment where designs could be developed and repairs carried out. It had to feel true to the period character of the townhouse while reflecting Strathberry’s identity as a contemporary luxury brand.
Our Response
We transformed the lounge into a dedicated atelier that put making at the heart of the space. Period details were retained and restored, then paired with bespoke furniture and display to frame the handbags as crafted objects. The space was designed to be lived-in: a working environment where prototypes could be mocked up, pieces restored and the link between product and process made visible.
The Outcome
The atelier is more than a showroom. It is a functional, storytelling space that deepens the connection between customers and craft. The narrative established here will now scale into Strathberry’s retail stores, ensuring the sense of artistry and authenticity runs throughout their brand experience.
